Cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex has warned users holding 13 recently delisted digital assets that they must withdraw their funds by August 31 at 10 a.m. UTC. Failing to meet this deadline means users will have to rely on a restricted, manual recovery process that carries additional fees.

After the cutoff, standard withdrawal options for these specific tokens will be deactivated. For the subsequent two months, any attempts to retrieve these assets will be left entirely to Bitfinex’s discretion.

The exchange has cautioned that this manual recovery process is not guaranteed to be successful, has no set timeframe for completion, and will involve extra fees deducted directly from the recovered funds.

The assets affected by the withdrawal mandate include Cosmos (ATOM), Bit2Me (B2M), Bitget Token (BGB), EigenLayer (EIGEN), Vaulta (A), GateToken (GT), Jupiter (JUP), Kava (KAVA), Lido (LDO), NEO, Nexo (NEXO), OMNI, and Ultra (UOS). Furthermore, Bitfinex has explicitly instructed users to empty any remaining NEOGAS balances.

Several of these delisted assets serve as native tokens for prominent blockchain networks. For instance, LDO is the native utility token of Lido, the largest liquid staking protocol on Ethereum, while EIGEN powers the Ethereum restaking platform EigenLayer.

Users should be aware that certain tokens may be listed under different API or interface symbols on the platform—such as ATO instead of Cosmos, and EOS instead of Vaulta. However, Tether (USDT) on Cosmos and Unus Sed LEO on Vaulta are not impacted by this decision.

Standard withdrawals completed before the deadline require a minimum value equivalent to $5. They are also subject to network fees that vary by asset, meaning the cost of transferring smaller balances could outweigh their value.

Meanwhile, a different liquidation process is in place for outstanding Japanese yen (JPY) and JPY-PERP balances. Bitfinex plans to automatically convert any remaining JPY into USDT through an over-the-counter transaction rather than the public order book.

The platform reserves the right to perform this JPY conversion at any time of its choosing using prevailing market rates, and a 5% processing fee will be automatically deducted from the user’s balance.

Trading and deposit services for the affected digital assets were already suspended by Bitfinex in July, following a preliminary announcement released on June 23.
